The Sail Plan dialog is used for creating an Amver Sail Plan and then saving that Sail Plan in binary for transmission
on the Standard - C unit for distribution to the coast guard.
AMVER What and When to Report to AMVER Sail Plan:
A Sail Plan should be submitted within a few hours of departure. It must include the departure and destination
ports and enough turning points to predict the vessel's actual position within 25 nautical miles for the next 48 hours.
The Sail Plan is limited to a maximum of 13 Way Point entries and must be terminated with a destination port. The legs
that are not included in the initial Sail Plan should be entered into a Deviation Report and transmitted to AMVER later
in the voyage. The Sail Plan defines a port-to-port and the Deviation Report defines a point-to-port open ocean route.
The ports names and locations are restricted to the 6000+ ports identified by AMVER. In the binary AMVER message, port
numbers are sent instead of names and locations. The AMVER port list locations are often the sea buoys where tracking
starts and stops. As a result several ports located within restricted waters may have a common position. Always use
the closest port. The 'Find port' command searches for ports near the position specified with the closest port listed
first. When the port is selected, its position replaces the inputted location.
A Sail Plan or Deviation Report must be entered before a valid Position or Arrival can be created because they
define the destination port.
Comments: Enter any comments that are to be sent with the report in the comment field. These comments are place on X/ lines in the AMVER report.
Date - Date that ship is at given position in format indicated: YYYY MM DD.
Departure - The location and time of ship departure from the port.

Port - The ports names and locations are restricted to the 6000+ ports identified by AMVER. In the binary AMVER message, port numbers are sent instead of names and locations. The AMVER port list locations are often the sea buoys where tracking starts and stops. As a result several ports located within restricted waters may have a common position. Always use the closest port.Project Speed Throughout - While it is checked: It sets all succeeding speeds to the currently entered speed. New entries will contain the speed of the last entry entered. Entries brought up for editing that already contain a speed value will keep their original value, and when that value is entered, all succeeding entries will be set to that value. "Project Speed Throughout" stays checked until it is unchecked. Once unchecked succeeding speeds will no longer be set.
While it is checked, the speed of any selection that is brought up for editing, sets all succeeding speed entries to that value. New entries will contain the speed of the last entry entered if Project Speed Throughout is checked.
Ship Speed Knots - Ship Speed at the given time and position in knots.
Time - Time that ship is at given position in format indicated: HH MM.
Way Point - The location and time of ship at each leg in the route.
